Unissued Diplomas 2.0(Other)Unissued Diplomas is a Ukrainian organization that launched its first exhibition (2023) in major Ukrainian cities to commemorate the 1-year mark of the full-scale invasion. The exhibitions, displayed in museums, community centers, and universities across the country displayed the diplomas, stories, and portraits of the 36 known university students whose lives were lost in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine. In 2024, the exhibition commemorates 40 students, telling their stories and putting their diplomas on display to honor their lives and pursuits of education. In the Warch Gallery, following the Unissued Diplomas 2.0 exhibition guidelines, 40 standard-size diplomas, 40 portraits (8" x 11.5"), and 10 additional posters will be on display. The goal of this exhibition is to honor the lives of the fallen students, spread awareness about the ongoing invasion in Ukraine, and create a sense of solidarity between Lawrence University students and their peers in Ukraine. The power of the exhibition lies in Lawrence students feeling a connection to their Ukrainian counterparts who were - and who still are - pursuing similar paths.
