The field of pharmacogenomics strives to use genetic variation to understand, predict, and ultimately improve medication outcomes for patients, one individual at a time. In this talk, Dr. Van Driest will use examples from clinical care, her own research and career, and the scientific literature to explore the advances and limitations to pharmacogenomics, particularly for pediatric populations.
