DESCRIPTION:
 The LUCC Sustainability Committee, in collaboration 
 with Lawrence's Office of Sustainability and the 
 Outdoor Recreation Club, is putting on a 5k race 
 event for Earth Week called Run for the Trees. 
 For each runner (student, faculty, or staff - 
 everyone is welcome!), $35 is donated to support 
 tree-planting and forest protection efforts in 
 state parks and recreation areas in Wisconsin. 
 This 5k will start and end on the Main Hall Green (it 
 consists of one loop around the river; contact 
 me for an image of the detailed route). We'll 
 have a large banner at the start and finish line, 
 a digital clock for timing, and a water station. 
 We're hoping for runners to run through the LU 
 arch at the end of the race and the finish line 
 to be placed on the green right in front of Main 
 Hall.\n\n
 Price: There is no admission cost for this race, and 
 a free t-shirt and medal are provided if you register 
 by March 15th!\n
